Brazil defeated and eliminated Chile in a penalty shootout on Saturday. Each team had five players take penalty kicks, with each keeper making two saves, and one player on each team missing the net (either entirely or hitting the post). Here they are in order:
Brazil's first shooter was David Luiz, who scored:
Mauricio Pinila was Chile's first shooter. He was stopped by Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
Brazil's second was Willian, who missed the net.
Second for Chile, Alexis Sanchez, was stopped again by Cesar.
Marcello, third up for Brazil, scored:
Chares Aranguiz, who went third for Chile, got Chile's first goal in the shootout.
Hulk went fourth for Brazil, and he was stopped by Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
Macelo Diaz, fourth for Chile, scored:
