Brazil advanced to the quartefinal on Friday with a 2-1 win over Colombia in the World Cup quarterfinal. They will face Germany in the semifinals.

Brazil's Thiago Silva opened the scoring with a goal in the 7th minute off of a corner kick. Silva will miss the semifinal after receiving his second yellow card of the tournament in the second half. 

David Luiz gave Brazil a 2-0 lead with a goal directly off of a free kick in the 69th minute.

James Rodriguez scored on a penalty kick on the 80th minute. Rodriguez scored in every game for Colombia in the World Cup.

Neymar sustained what appeared to be a serious injury in the 88th minute when a Colombia player kneed him in the back on a challenge. He was carried off on a stretcher.
