Wednesday night was the MLS All-Star game in Portland, Oregon. They faced Bayern Munich, a German club and one of the best teams in the world that plays in the Budesliga. The MLS All-Stars won 2-1 on goals from Bradley Wright-Phillips and Landon Donovan. Robert Lewandowski had Bayern Munich's only goal.

Bayern Munich opened the scoring with an excellent goal from Lewandowski:

Bradley Wright-Phillips, who was perhaps appearing in his last MLS All-Star game, tied the match with a perfectly placed shot:

Landon Donovan, who announced today that he is retiring from soccer after this season, had the go-ahead goal and the eventual game-winner:

In their first appearances since winning the World Cup as part of the Geramn National Team, four players were subbed in at once late in the match. At least one of those players, Thomas Muller, made an impression with his good play in the limited time he appeared:

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola shouted at MLS All-Star coach Caleb Porter after more than one aggressive tackles during the game. Here he is, with one of the backup keepers, yelling at the MLS All-Star bench:

After the game, Guardiola refused to shake Porter's hand.
